Interko takes ripening innovation to new heights

The Dutch designer, manufacturer and installer continues to advance its market-leading technology to allow operators greater reductions in their fresh fruit ripening costs, energy consumption and product wastage. Most recently, Interko has pioneered a containerised ripening room, developed and tested in partnership with Fyffes, which can ripen up to 20 pallets of bananas, avocados or mangoes anywhere in the world. The room is located inside a standard insulated refrigeration container and can be moved easily by truck or ship. Interko’s ripening room offers operators a mobile, space-saving and multi-functional room which benefits from a bespoke mechanical design and comes pre-fitted with the latest technology. Shortly, Interko will launch a fail-safe ripening control system that provides operators with greater flexibility and responsiveness to perfect their fruit ripening cycles.
