Apofruit launches new autumn variety
ApoFruit has presented new varieties of grapes to extend its commercial calendar and enrich a portfolio now comprising 85% seedless grapes. From the firm’s production areas in Bari, Taranto and Metaponto, which produce 4,000 tons of grapes from early July to November, the new varieties that will soon be coming include Autumn Crisp®, a very aromatic and crisp white variety with good shelf-life and a harvest period from September to October. The firm has also added new red varieties Allison® and Scarlotta®. Manager Ernesto Fornari said: “The white varieties will also serve to attract consumers to the black and red varieties.” With a production of 8,000 tons, 2,000 of which come from Verdeea-certified organic and biodynamic cultivation, Apofruit is able to guarantee the highest quality. The main destination markets are the US, Canada, Brazil, the Middle East and Europe.
