Chaos to continue at Port of Yantian until July

China’s Port of Yantian is still in a state of chaos, due to Covid-19-related inspections and the recently imposed  preventive measures in the Shenzhen and Guangzhou areas. Global shipping lines have announced additional measures to control the effects of the evolving container terminal congestion and disruption in the area, with delays of up to 16 days expected. 

A statement by Maersk said:

The situation continues to deteriorate as more positive Covid cases have been confirmed in Shenzhen where Yantian port and Shekou port are located and in Guangzhou where Nansha port is located.
