HORTYFRUTA debates need to establish market regulation mechanisms in times of crisis

The agricultural organisations Asaja Almería and Coag Almería were invited last week to a meeting with Spanish sectorial organisation Hortyfruta  to jointly analyse the situation of the fruit and vegetable sector. 

The topics raised include establishing market regulation mechanisms and ways to solve the excess supply to ensure products of the highest quality. This need has been conveyed by various member organisations of HORTYFRUTA to the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Sustainable Development of the Junta de Andalucía. Also, particularly low prices have been registered for cucumber for the last few weeks.
