IG International calls to individuals and communities to join in the #wecare campaign
As we watch our brothers and sisters lose their lives to this deadly disease, we feel almost powerless but not let down. One thing matters now, doing our own bit to heal our country, India. The government warns that failing to help the vulnerable can place millions at risk of starvation and in worst cases death. We are called to fully commit to supporting campaigns that will bring an end to the rising number of deaths.
Covid has killed more than 254000 people in India and there are more than 23 million reported cases so far. It has a foothold in India and is now reaching more states.
Protecting the lives of the underprivileged, kids, women and girls has always been an important priority at IG International. This is especially true looking at the present COVID-19 health emergency.
At IG, we came about a global approach to fight COVID-19 and now we have launched the #wecare Campaign. Through this Campaign we hope to fight COVID-19 and curb its spread in India.
- To encourage people to support individuals and families struggling in these COVID-19 times.
- To launch information campaigns encouraging individuals to come to the aid of the vulnerable.
Through this Campaign we can protect people who are not able to protect themselves. This is an important move towards solidarity for humanity. This is the moment when we rise up and come together for those who are in desperate need.
India’s hospitals are packed with coronavirus patients, and their relatives hustling to find bottles of oxygen, and nearly full hospitals and healthcare workers working tirelessly to handle the surges of death.
At IG international we have already started.
- Our employees are reaching out to places where people cannot easily access good food, soap and clean water.
- We are prioritizing people who rely on humanitarian assistance and donations.
To leave the underprivileged to their fate is only selfish and unwise.
Together we can equip humanitarian organizations with tools to fight the virus, save lives and help contain the spread of COVID-19.
Our frontline workers need our support. When we pass on this request/challenge to friends and families/followers we are giving our strongest possible support to the millions of people calling out for help.
The kickstart the #wecare campaign officially, the senior management and employees at IG international came together on the 10th of May 2021(Monday,).
The efforts have begun to provide tools, food, water and clothing to kids, underprivileged people, people in Covid care, frontline officers and charitable organizations.
The campaign will be implemented by IG international and individuals like you.
