2021 Brazilian fruit exports are up in both volume and value, according to SECEX (Foreign Trade Department). Total fresh fruit exports, including citrus peels and melons, are 1.05 million tons with sales of just over US$995 million, as reported by Abrafrutas.
Favourable growing conditions increased supply and allowed higher shipment volumes. The main growth categories are lemons, limes, papayas, mangos, watermelons, and melons.
