Restrictions in Berlin to be lifted prior to Fruit Logistica
There will be no restrictions in place for exhibitors and visitors at this year’s Fruit Logistica. Almost all Covid-19 restrictions in Berlin came to an end on 1 April 2022, meaning people can attend major events without having to present proof of testing, recovery or vaccination.
The new regulations in Germany, as well as the low infection rate in Berlin compared with the rest of the country, will allow people to visit shops, restaurants, bars and cafés again without any restrictions. The requirement to wear masks has also been lifted in most places, with the exception of public transport.
Kai Mangelberger, director of Fruit Logistica, said:
“It is the first time in more than two years that all exhibitors and trade visitors can come together the way they have been used to doing it, without having to provide proof of their testing, recovery or vaccination. Especially for our international participants, the elimination of complicated entry regulations is an enormous relief.”
While masks are not mandatory in the exhibition halls, the organisers strongly recommend that they be voluntarily worn, especially in the aisle and entrance areas.
