Russian authorities have allegedly banned imports of pomegranates and peppers from Turkey indefinitely, according to reports in Turkish media. Russian customs received letters from the country’s food inspections agency Rospotrebnadzor, which found residues of pesticides that are prohibited in Russia. Therefore, as of November 17, 2021, pomegranates and peppers sent from Turkey are not being allowed entry into Russia.
