Smaller Spanish citrus crop in 2021/22

Official projections indicate a smaller Spanish citrus crop in 2021/22, with total output down 4.8% Y-O-Y to 6.7 million tons, which is 2.1% below the five-year average. The biggest drop is in soft citrus (-9.9%) and lemons (-11.4%).
Orange volumes are set to remain stable (-0.4%) at 3.5 million tons, albeit slightly below (-1.1%) the five-year average. Grapefruit volumes are up 3% Y-O-Y to 84,000 tons.
