SURINVER WILL BE PRESENT AT THE MAIN INTERNATIONAL TRADE FAIRS: ALIMENTARIA AND FRUIT LOGISTICA
Surinver, based in Alicante, is one of the main agricultural cooperative distributing fresh produce (fruit and vegetables) in more than 30 countries. Its offer also includes ready to eat products with strong distribution in Spain and whose internationalization has begun this year. That is why this cooperative could not miss two of the main international trade fairs: Alimentaria, in Barcelona, and Fruit Logistica, in Berlin.
Alimentaria, a perfect showcase for ready to eat novelties
It is a complete range of vegetable products already prepared and ready to eat. The star product within this range is the Surinver Grated Natural Tomato, which has become the market leader thanks to its strong presence in most supermarket and hypermarket shelves in Spain.
Other products that make up this range are Roasted Vegetables, Caramelized, Quinoas or Tex-Mex. In addition to the BIO assortment available for those consumers more committed to health and the environment, as well as specialties developed for HORECA.
Surinver ready to eat products sales have benn increased an 8% in the last financial year, a figure that it hopes to exceed during this season thanks to both the national expansion and the international leap.
In Alimentaria, not only the usual product range of the cooperative will be presented, but also important novelties such as the Traditional Ratatouille, recently launched.
Fruit Logistica, global meeting point for fruit and vegetable producers
Surinver is made up with more than 400 farming partners who have more than 1,600 hectares of production and 300 hectares of greenhouses. Their high production and marketing capacity allow them to be present in more than 30 countries.
Surinver especially stands out internationally as a producer of California peppers (green, red and yellow). Other high-volume products for the cooperative are Fashion watermelon, butternut squash, celery, or sweet corn, among others.
Surinver’s commitment to sustainability stands out. Proof of this is the strong growth in the turnover of fresh BIO products, which rose by 13.50% during the previous financial year. It is also important to note that, at present, the BIO cultivation in Surinver already represents 30%, with a goal for 2022 of reaching 50% of its total production.
