Zespri™ partners up with Spanish Nutrition Foundation to promote healthy eating in schools
ZespriTM has come up once again with a new edition of its school project “Fruit goes to school”, with which it seeks to actively encourage good nutrition and the daily consumption of fruit at school. The brand is collaborating in this initiative with the Spanish Nutrition Foundation (FEN) to endorse the materials that will be made available to teachers.
The project, which has been running for over 10 years and in which almost 2,000 schools from all over Spain have participated, aims to promote a healthy and active lifestyle among youngsters under the guidance of teachers.
For the 2021/2022 academic year, ZespriTM has introduced new features to the project. In addition to the participation of the Spanish Nutrition Foundation, the teachers of each school in the programme will have new didactic content and fun downloadable games so that boys and girls can have fun while becoming familiar with the different fruits. There will also be videos with activities, crafts related to fruits and an eBook for teachers in which they can delve into basic elements of a balanced diet to introduce these concepts to their students.
In addition to these initiatives, which include games, experiments or easy recipes, promotional dynamics will be developed to encourage students to have a regular consumption of varied fresh fruit in a fun way.
The first of these projects began on October 4.
