CuTEHealthy Congress: “Cultivating A Healthy Europe With Fruits And Vegetables From Europe (2021-2023)”
On November 30th, FruitVegetablesEUROPE backed by the European Union organized a congress in Madrid addressing the #LONGLIFECHALLENGE, with the collaboration of several Olympic medallists:
- Lydia Valentín a Spanish weightlifter.
- Sebastian Brendel a German sprint canoeist.
- Ola Carbonell a Spanish synchronized swimmer.
- Florent Manaudou a French swimmer.
- Maja Wtoszczowska a Polish cyclist.
Each athlete stars in an advertisement for the campaign promoting the regular consumption of fruits and vegetables for our everyday intake, without forgetting to increase physical activity in our population.
“Nutrition is the base, among other things” declares Lydia Valentín.
The objective: to transmit this message in a self-responsible and agreeable manner without imposing, inviting instead. Óscar Mozún, strategic director of TACTICS Europe said:
“Only 15% of the European population recognises the need to consume 5 fruits and vegetables a day. Consuming this amount is relatively easy if we do it in a simple way, because in the end this is not a challenge; they are small gestures to live longer and live better.”
CuTEHealthy is represented by FruitVegetablesEUROPE and national associations of Fruits and Vegetables from France, Poland, and Spain (Citrus Management Committee – CGC, National Association of Strawberry Producers of France, More Broccoli, KZGPOiW and Interprofessional of Green Asparagus of Spain). The main targeted countries are Belgium, Germany, France, and Spain.
