The 2021 edition of The World of Organic Farming shows that, in 2019, general retailers accounted for almost 60% of the total value of organic retail in Germany, with specialty retailers accounting for 27% and other channels 14%, a situation very similar to that of 2018 in Germany, according to a report by Fruit Attraction. But the French market has a different profile, although it is changing. The report shows that, in 2019, general retailers attracted 55% of total spending (compared to 49% in 2018), specialists 28% (compared to 34% in 2018), direct sales 11% (12% in 2018) and other channels 6%. Meanwhile, in the UK, the respective shares have remained roughly the same, at 67% for general retail, 17% for specialty retail and 15% for other channels.
